Some birth injury causes:
- Breech deliveries (feet first): too much pressure on the arm

occur

2) What nerve is most commonly injuried during
a birth?
The facial nerve is injured most often. Due
to forceps pressure, most trauma probably results from pressure on the nerve
in utero, which may be due to fetal positioning or to pressure against the
nerve by the sacral promontory.

3)
What is cerebral palsy?
Cerebral palsy is a static disorder of the brain, not a progressive disorder.
The physical impairment is due to brain damage in the baby, which is frequently
caused by insufficient oxygen flow to the brain.

4)What are Erb-Duchenne and Dejerine-Klumpke
Palsies?
The brachial plexus is a network of nerves that conducts signals from the spine
to the shoulder, arm, and hand. Brachial plexus injuries are caused by damage
to those nerves. Erb-Duchenne (Erb's) palsy refers to paralysis of the upper
brachial plexus. Dejerine-Klumpke (Klumpke's) palsy refers to paralysis of the
lower brachial plexus. Although injuries can occur at any time, many brachial
plexus injuries happen when a baby's shoulders become impacted during delivery
and the brachial plexus nerves stretch or tear.
